Platform terms

1. What the platform does

Cornerstone Hub is an online marketplace operated by Fox Construction Zimbabwe ("the Company") that helps clients find verified construction companies and contractors, and helps contractors bid for projects.

The Company is not a party to any construction contract between a client and a contractor, does not perform construction work, and does not act as either party's agent.

2. Accounts and verification

You must give accurate information and keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Contractors may only bid once the Company has reviewed and approved their documents. Approval means the documents were reviewed; it is not a guarantee of the contractor's work.

The Company may approve, reject, suspend or deactivate accounts and projects to protect users and the platform.

3. Service fees

When a client selects a contractor and both parties accept the project agreement, the client and the contractor each pay the platform a service fee (currently 5%) of the agreed contract price.

Both fees must be paid in full before the Company shares the parties' contact details. Service fees are not refundable once contact details have been shared.

4. Payments for the work

All payments for the construction work are made directly between the client and the contractor. The platform does not receive, hold or release these payments, and is not responsible for taxes, refunds, cancellations or milestone payments between the parties.

5. No direct contact before connection

Until both service fees are paid, parties must communicate only through the platform. Sharing phone numbers, emails or links to arrange the work outside the platform is not allowed and may lead to suspension.

6. Limitation of liability

The platform operates solely as an online marketplace connecting clients and contractors. It does not guarantee contractor performance or client mandate accountability.

The Company shall not be liable for any dispute, loss, damage, delay, defect, negligence, breach of contract, or other claim arising from or relating to any construction services performed by contractors using the platform.

7. Reviews and conduct

Reviews must be honest and relate to a project completed through the platform. The Company may remove content that is abusive, false or shares contact details.

8. Privacy

We store your account details, documents and messages to run the platform, share them only as described in these terms, and protect them with access controls and encrypted passwords.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe.
